Taking a decidedly playful approach to furniture creating, and made with “a sweet and pleasant moment of relaxation” in thoughts, Italy’s Li-Ving Design and style Studio has developed a suite of stools crafted to appear like macaroons. The Makastool, a style comprised of an upholstered ‘sandwich’ atop 4 wooden legs, and obtainable in a series of authentically quite macaroon colors, is, according to Li-Ving, an interpretation of “irony and lightness.” We agree—but must admit that Makastool’s sumptuous cushioning looks quite comfy, too.
