2014 Spring Parade of Homes

The Spring Parade of Homes kicks off tomorrow, May 23 at 1pm. The homes will be available to view until 9pm each day. The parade of homes is a great opportunity to see the fine craftsmanship and design trends of local builders, architects and interior designers. 

We have two homes in the Grand Rapids Parade of Homes this year. The first home is a mediterranean style and was built by Mike Schaap Builders. Located in East Grand Rapids this home was designed by Visbeen Architects with a perfect balance of warmth, luxury and functionality throughout. 

The second home is located in the Waterford Heights neighborhood and is built by White Birch Builders. This Visbeen designed craftsman home offers artfully crafted custom cabinetry to reflect the charming neighborhood it is located in. 

We are proud to share that our East Grand Rapids design was chosen as an Editor's Pick in Grand Rapids Cosmopolitan Home. 

We hope that many of you will get the opportunity to see the craftsmanship and design talents that have gone into creating these beautiful homes.

Spring Parade of Homes

Spring is in the air.  Flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, trees are budding and its a torrential downpour outside right now.  Ahh, Spring in Michigan.

Do you know what else is in the air, something that we in the building industry love almost more than all the rest?  The smell of new construction.  Freshly finished wood floors, new carpet, fresh paint and crisp green landscaping just starting to bud.  I can just smell it now.

Come to the Parade of Homes, sponsored by the Home Building Association of Greater Grand Rapids, starting this weekend to soak up some "new house" smell while you tour 65 beautiful new constructions around West Michigan!

We have two projects in the Parade this Spring.  A new home in Manchester Hills built by Schultz Builders, called the Kettner.  It was designed to meet the immediate and future needs of a family with room to grow, as families so often do.  It features custom-built cabinets throughout, in-floor heat on all floors, a luxury Wolf appliance package, an in-ground swimming pool, a screened porch with fireplace, an exercise room with sauna and a security system with video monitoring, plus much more.
